BROTHER WAYNE’S PARAGRAPHS
We have ended our fourth year in Evangelism and Church Growth, and are now beginning the
fifth year. My, how time flies!
Enclosed you will find a schedule of our Sunday School revivals “High Attendance Day.” During
these past four years, we have had 76 Sunday School revivals, and every one made their goal, with
the exception of four churches. God has used the Sunday School revivals to help some churches get
focused on building the church through the Sunday School, and reaching people for Christ. High
attendance is about finding prospects, and reaching them with the gospel.
You will also find enclosed our schedule for the remainder of 2008, and for 2009. A line is drawn
by the dates that are open.
Also included, you will find a brochure that tells about our ministry. Let me ask for prayer that
God will lay it on the hearts of pastors that He wants me to be with, and that God will give me a burden
to go.
As I say in my brochure, I will go to the churches that want to grow and mean business in winning
souls for Christ.
The Lord has given us the opportunity to be in some of the best churches in the Southeast and
to be with some of the finest pastors and their families. Eternity will only tell the work that God has
done in each of our hearts.
I would like to encourage each of you to pray for the staff and the Sunday School workers in
every church, that God will give them a burden to reach people through Sunday School and to build
the church through the Sunday School.
As we start this fifth year in Evangelism and Church Growth, I want to thank all the men that
serve on my board, every individual, and every church that have helped us in any way. God has
blessed and we’re grateful.
A special thanks goes to the Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville, GA, where we have been
a member for the last four years, for their supporting our ministry and especially for the prayer
support they have given Joan and myself.
Let me encourage each of you to visit our website occasionally for updates, and encourage your
friends to visit it also. A special thanks to Micah for keeping it up to date.

BOARD MEMBER RECOMMENDATION
As I look back at the past four years and the beginning of Wayne Hamrick Ministries, I can’t get
over how fast time has gone by. I recall numerous conversations with Daddy back then and how
excited he was to be starting the new ministry. Although that excitement was noticeable, there was
also a little apprehension. All of us, I guess, couldn’t help but have a little bit of doubt. Would there be
enough support to allow the ministry to keep moving forward? I think all of you that know anything
about this ministry has the answer to that question. To the best of my knowledge, all but a handful of
dates that were available have been filled through the years (I’m proud of that), and he has even had
to turn a few meetings down.
Unless it was a time when they were near us, it’s rare that Jody and I have been able to attend
many of the meetings. Even so, I still feel as though I know some of you. I have learned most of the
pastor’s names and what church they pastor by entering the data on the website. The information I
like most though is when Mother will call or send me a text message about a church they were at a few
weeks earlier that has just had a high attendance day. “Just heard from a pastor down in middle
Georgia who we were with 6 weeks ago. Their goal was 175 and they had 200.” Or, “they had 60
today, and the most they had ever had was 40.” My point is this. As excited as that local church was
about reaching their goals, Daddy and Mother have always been just as excited for the church and
couldn’t wait to let others know. I’m proud of those text messages and phone calls.
As I said when I had the honor of introducing Daddy as President a couple of years ago at the
Georgia Baptist Convention, I have known for years what a great pastor, leader, husband, and father
he is. I’ve known what a great support role Mother has played with him all these years. Those of you
that have invited Wayne Hamrick into your church and community have been able to see this for
yourself. It amazes me that they enjoy all the travel and helping others so much at this stage of their
lives. (No, I didn’t just say they were old.) With your prayer and support, I know Wayne Hamrick
Ministries will continue to bless people and churches for years to come. I’m proud of that, and I’m also
very proud to be a small part of Wayne Hamrick Ministries.

..................................
Let me begin by saying my family has known Wayne, Joan and Micah since 1973. How we met is
a little funny. We had built a new church at the Fullerville Baptist Church. Our pastor thought he
needed an assistant Pastor/Minister of Music and Education, so the church called Brother Wayne for
this position, and Joan was elected as secretary. My wife, Pat, and I voted against them.
The following week after they were elected, we were cleaning up after supper when the door bell
rang. You guessed it ---- it was Wayne and Joan. Wayne was hollering, “Bless God, we are visiting
all those that voted against us.” My wife said, “Come in, you are at the right place. Come on in.” We
explained it was not a vote against them, that we didn’t think we could afford to call a full-time staff
member. But we were certainly wrong. They became the best Christian friends we have ever had.
Now they are not just friends, but more like family. After leaving our church, and pastoring other
churches, they came back to Fullerville Baptist ---- Wayne as pastor and Joan as Choir Director.
I have never seen more dedicated people, or better organizers. Our church was at an “all-time
high” when they left. Their dedication and leadership have never changed all these years.
If you think your church needs help…..it probably does. I highly recommend The Wayne Hamrick
Ministries in helping your church to grow.

LETTERS FROM PASTORS
Dear Brother Wayne,
We had a great time with you in Revival on May 4th-7th here at Bethlehem. We were all blessed
by your ministry during the week. God has certainly gifted you in helping churches. We held our High
Attendance Day in Sunday School on June 1st. Our goal was 100 people in Sunday School --- the
Lord blessed us with 132 being present on that day. Praise the Lord! Our people really worked and
prayed and the Lord blessed. Your enthusiasm really helped our people. I want to again thank you
for encouraging me and my family in the ministry. May God continue to bless you and Mrs. Joan in
the ministry to which He has called you.
I would recommend you and Mrs. Joan to any pastor who is looking for someone to encourage
and strengthen the ministry of your church.
By His Grace,
Rev. Tim Powell, Pastor
Bethlehem Baptist Church, Warthen, GA

Dear Brother Wayne,
What a great time we had in revival! I am so glad the Lord led me to call you and have you come
here to Oak Hill. Our hearts were moved and challenged as you brought the Word each night. This
past Sunday morning, we baptized the little boy who responded one night during the revival. Please
pray for him as his family is in the midst of a divorce.
Please say hello to Mrs. Joan for us, and we hope to cross your path again soon.
In His Service,
Rev. Jamie Archer, Pastor
Oak Hill Baptist Church, Millen, GA

Brother Wayne,
The Lord used you in a wonderful way to bless and encourage our people and myself. It is
refreshing as a pastor to be able to have an evangelist to come in who has a heart for the people who
understands the desires of the man of God for the meeting. I especially like using someone who has
pastored before going into evangelism because they have the insight of the position of the pastor.
Thank you again for your warm and real approach toward the people that you are preaching to
and for your fellowship throughout the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the day that we spent in worship and
time spent sharing our hearts for the ministry. Our prayers are with you and I hope that we can have
you back with us in the near future. Pastors need preachers like you to be able to fill the pulpit and
not have to worry about the church being abused and the work being discouraged rather that
strengthened. Keep up the good work and continue to “preach the word.”
Your brother in Christ,
Brother Jimmy Weaver
Dry Valley Baptist Church, Trion, GA

Dear Brother Wayne,
Dr. Wayne Hamrick is uniquely gifted for the ministry in which God has given him and his lovely
wife Joan. I truly believe that Dr. Hamrick is one of the best resources we have in the entire state for
church growth.
I could never thank Wayne and Joan enough for what they meant to all of us at Bethany Baptist
Church during our spring revival. Brother Wayne led the revival with an emphasis upon Sunday
school growth. As a Church, we had originally set a high attendance for Sunday school at 100. I am
thrilled to say that we had 154 that day and we are still rejoicing. Dr. Hamrick's suggestion for us to
begin a sanctuary class has really been a great blessing and the class continues to grow.
If you want a man who loves the Lord Jesus Christ, a man who loves the local pastor, and a man
who is committed to helping your local congregation, I don’t think you can find anyone better equipped
than Dr. Wayne Hamrick.
Sincerely,
Rev. Kevin Ayers, Pastor
Bethany Baptist Church, Tallapoosa, GA
